A Sunday afternoon reading and talk about the lives of captive chimpanzees in New Mexico and around the globe Debra Rosenman, author of the forthcoming book The Chimpanzee Chronicles: stories revealing the heartache, grace, and truth about captive chimpanzees presents a preview of her book, along with special guest Laura Bonar, program director of Animal Protection of New Mexico’s Chimps-to-Sanctuary campaign, who will talk about the New Mexico chimpanzees in Alamogordo and how New Mexico’s grassroots efforts to help them has brought the United States closer to ending the use of chimpanzees in research.
